The first of 4 grade level workshops using the SVMI (Silicon Valley Mathematics Initiative) Tasks as formative assessments begin next month. The first task focusses on number sense and the workshops are designed to help teachers and schools to start the analysis of student work as part of the PLC process. For each workshop, a particular task is chosen and will be posted approximately 2 weeks prior to the workshop. Teachers will need to download the task, make copies, give it to their students, and then bring the student work to the workshop.
